PUOLI charm

$59.00 USD
In Karelian, PUOLI means twofold/two-voice. A double-headed horse is a hearth keeper, the symbol of strength and goodness. It was considered a powerful amulet. People decorated the tops of the huts with the figures of double-headed horses to keep their homes from harm. They pinned hope for harvest on the horses and gave them as gifts to the children to “gain good strength”.
