Kiva is a sacred place used for spiritual ceremonies in the Hopi tribe. This is the temple without windows with a flat roof. The ancient Indians thought that climbing the stairs in the center of the temple to the surface of the Earth and exiting kiva through the hole in the ceiling symbolizes the transition into a new, different world.
